Talent

Start to see what you like to do the most. If you’re instinctively curious, that’s a talent. If you’re competitive, that’s a talent. If you’re responsible, that’s also a talent. Anything that comes naturally to you, that’s a talent. Try to make use of it in a productive way.

Talent is the key to being productive and outperforming everyone because that’s the one thing that you have but no other people have. The moment you start using your talent, you become productive. The moment you become productive, you get better results which leads to compliments. Compliments makes you feel appreciated and makes you want to do the thing more and more. This cycle goes on and on.

Motivation and Discipline

Simple things for us, does not always mean simple things for other people, and vice versa. Not everyone born equal, not everyone raised equal. Some likes to be competitive, some prefer to work together with other people. Calling stranger when you’re a salesman is probably nothing, but to some it makes them anxious just thinking about it.

The key here is to find your strength, or talent. You can’t expect a cat wins a swimming contest with a fish. Just like people, you can’t expect everyone to perform equally on everything. We have our own strength and weaknesses. We need to make the most out of our strength.

Motivation gets you started, but discipline keeps you going. You don’t have to always feel good about it, you just need to keep going. If you’re feeling like you’re procrastinating, see Handling Procrastination.
